Two weeks ago, the National Symphony Orchestra has accompagnied a concert with tweets on the music score of Beethovens “Pastorale”, now the Royal Opera House has invited its fans to create an opera libretto via Twitter.

The Royal Opera House blog gave a precis of Act One, Scene One: “William is languishing in a tower, having been kidnapped by a group of birds who are anxious for revenge after he has killed one of their number. Hans has promised to rescue him. The Woman With No Name is off to her biochemistry laboratory to make a potion to let people speak to the birds.”
Present results can be viewed on the Royal Opera´s blog, contributions can be posted on the Twitter account @youropera. Excerpts shall be performed in September to the music of composer Helen Porter along with familiar opera tunes. Why not add bird-music-composer Olivier Messiaen?

Guten Tag,
ich finde Ihren Blog sehr gut und informativ. Allerdings verstehe ich nicht ganz, warum viele Beiträge in Englisch sind. Wenn in einer Fremdsprache, dann wäre es doch schön, wenn man wählen könnte zwischen deutsch und englisch.
